STRENGTHEN BODY AND MIND

Originating from ancient China, the practice of Taichi is one of the most effective ways to improve physical and mental health. Through the practice of gentle Tai Chi movements, you will be able to relax your mind and release the physical and mental stress of modern life that often leads to poor health. One of the objectives of Taichi is to be aware of the power to calm the mind and live in a more positive present.

TAI CHI AS A MARTIAL ART

In addition to being an excellent system to improve health, Tai chi is also a martial art that includes self-defence techniques. His way of acting is not to use force against force, if not through actions that transform the force and turn it into an advantage for self-defence. One of the exercises that develop this principle is the so-called “push hands” Tui Shou, where the student improves his ability to avoid an opponent's attack before it even begins.

There is a saying in Tai Chi that says: "The soft and fluid exercises of Taijiquan (Tai Chi) are united like an endless river, in which there is no distinction between the beginning and the end. With them, you will improve your health and strengthen the mind, acquiring flexibility in all the joints and in the different parts of the body".

The style we teach is the most popular for its ability to adapt to all people, this is the Yang style.

 

IN CLASSES

In beginner level classes, you will learn short sequences (forms) of movements, in which we will introduce you to the "ten principles of Taijiquan" (Taichi Chuan). You will learn how to do a warm-up, stretching and breathing exercises that, together with empty hand movements, will help you strengthen and improve your health. And will also learn the simple forms of Taijiquan (Taichi Chuan) weapons, such as the fan and the straight sword.

At the intermediate level you will learn the long forms of 40 and 108 movements, the sabre, and the straight sword of 55 movements.

And learn martial applications and other aspects of Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan).

And at the advanced level, you will learn the fast form, the stick, the spear and the set training form between two people and how to generate explosive force "Fajing" for martial combat.
